Patterson`s Pub in Mendocino

Nice and friendly pub in and nice older home. Inside was decorated in old whiskey advertising, beer Stine, and a moose head. We had the Angus beef burger and grilled chicken Alfredo. Burger was cooked medium well. Very good flavor, Nicely cooked and juicy. The grilled chicken Alfredo was nice and creamy with a sudtle sweet taste. They have a good selection of beers available too. I enjoyed a nice black and tan good and tasty. This is a good place to stop and enjoy a nice meal and a tasty beverage.

This place is always awesome, even under Covid restrictions!

Always a good time, Patterson’s is the place to go to meet friends (more often than not we’ll run into people we know here), to watch a big game with a crowd, and to get some fantastic food. It’s not even fair to say “pub food” because the quality is much higher than what that phrase suggests. Just remember to bring cash, as no cards are accepted - there is an ATM on site, but it does charge a fee.

One of our favorite places. Food is always good. Service is great. Atmosphere is incredible. It's our regular spot to have dinner and drinks while in Mendocino.

I love this place! You would be surprised of how good this Pub food is. The bartender Monica was something special, what a sweet nice person. Really made me feel at home. Always love to visit.

A fun bar in Mendocino. Good food. One of the few places in the village open late.

More than your usual pub food. Who would expect exceptionally fresh oysters and other seafood on the menu. Besides, of course, great pub fare, lots of local brews on tap and a fun and upbeat, yet cozy atmosphere.

This place is a true gem! Stayed in Medocino over Christmas day and we loved this local spot! They had cornish hen and the decor of the bar is awesome. This place has been around for a while and really adds to the whole history of the town!

Yummy Bloody Mary, I had the tri tip sandwich, Dia was an excellent bartender/server, and our entire experience was excellent!

The fish and chips are perfect, with homemade tartar sauce!😋The Cobb salad was light and refreshing with a generous amount of bacon, avacado, and blue cheese crumbles. Really great service and food. Celiac safe menu too. Loved the meals. Home cooking at its best. Had corned beef, clams, elk burger, truffle fries, garlic bread. All tasty, fresh, perfectly prepared. Highly recommend.

The Reuben sandwich was wonderful. I don't even like corned beef but I loved the Ruben sandwich there. There was a LOT of meat and worth the cost. The coconut shrimp were good but way over priced. The salmon was not worth the price at all. We got there right before the crowd hit so we got a small table. There is very limited sitting. You do have to be 21 to go in.

Great bar in Mendocino excellent food. It was quite busy the night we were there but we got seated right away and the food and beer came forthwith:)

Great place! Ate there for dinner both nights we were in town. Different specials each night and all were delicious! Our waitress Liz was awesome she made some great painkillers and she took really good care of us!

The kale salad was fantastic and so was the Beyond sausage sandwich that I had. The beer selection was great too. Couldn't ask for too much more from a spot like this.

CASH ONLY. Great little spot for lunch. Can get busy at certain times of the day. Service is always pleasant. Great beer selection, local ingredients. Adds up quick but overall a solid Irish pub with character and good food.

Great pub, and it is a pub in the British sense, it made us feel right at home, it has loads of good beers, whiskeys and spirits. Busy with funny locals watching the football (49's). Had some amazing food. The Elk burger is up there with some of the best burgers iv had and good desert. The Staff were very friendly and nice. To top of off tje Guiness was great. I would move to this lovely little town just for this great pub.

My wife and I had lunch at Patterson's on a Saturday. I had the burger and she had a spinach salad. We were both very happy with our meals. The burger was the best burger I've had in about a year. It was that good. The ambiance of the place was good too, with soothing speakeasy style music playing. The waitress was very attentive and didn't just try to upsell us. I will definitely be coming back here to eat again. My new favorite place on the coast to get a burger!

I have never seen such great team work among staff at a small busy restaurant. Upon walking in we were immediately asked if we would like to be on the wait list. As soon as we sat down we were immediately asked if we wanted drinks or appetizers. Our food was served quickly. If you're looking for a pub in Mendocino this is a great stop.

What an awesome Pub! Small, but full of life. Everyone was having a great time drinking, watching basketball, and enjoying some delicious grub. I had fish & chips and it was good, but I was more impressed with the tartar sauce; hands down the best I've ever tasted. The waitress was super friendly, too! If you're ever in the town of Mendocino, CA, make this a stop.

What a great place! Oysters and an awesome tap beer. We have lunch there everytime we visit Mendo. Small space and very cozy setting. Had fun chatting with the locals.

We visited on Saturday evening, the place was too overcrowded. The workers were not the friendliest, and the food was only alright.

This is the best place to grab a bite and a drink! This was the third time eating here and though service is a little different these days with all the cdc requirements/restrictions it hardly made a difference in the overall experience! The quality and taste of the food is always amazing! Best food in town; even compared to some of the fine dining restaurants in the area with much higher prices! Patterson’s pub rocks!

My wife and I both loved our food. I had a great burger n fries. She had Pasta Primavera. We had to wait for 2 other couples who were in front of us. The food and the service were worth the wait. It's a little cramped for space but nice.

Awesome low key bar with solid no frills food that tastes great. Huge tap list with lots of local brews and a good place to watch sports. Honestly each sandwich could feed two and they have some interesting ones like elk burgers too. Recommended for sure. Not just a bar.

I get to Patterson's Pub a couple of times a month and always get their Elk Burger. The pub has the feel of an old time hang out. It has real character. By noon all the bar seats are filled with regulars. The place is dark like bars used to be. The staff is friendly. As of November 2019 they now take credit cards.

Decent for beer and drinks. Wouldn't recommend the fish and chips they are too pricey for what you get. But neat place and good staff even though they only had one server that day.

Absolutely amazing food and great ambience. In the middle of nowhere, in the small town of Mendocino, you see this pub. And as you that inside, it's buzzing with life! There's a screen for the games. People chatting away, enjoying the beer and their awesome food. Everything on the menu is amazing! Order anything and you won't be disappointed.

Delicious food and friendly service! I love the food, drinks and atmosphere here. I come in for a bite every time I'm in the Mendocino village. The decor is fun, the prices are reasonable and the portions are perfectly large.

Most small local bars serve basic food as a necessity to keep patrons from wandering off. With Patterson’s the quality of the food, atmosphere and friendly staff are all top knot has. The Ruben must have crack in it cause I can’t stop thinking of it. It’s truly the best I’ve had. The clam chowder is to die for as well. That’s a HUGE compliment coming from this former Bostonian! Then the special menu always steps up the game a bit seducing me away from my favorites. Having such a down to earth place like this in the heart of the village just adds to the appeal of the area.

If u r looking for a perfect burger around this coast, this place definitely have them. All food is good but, damn!, those burgers👍👍👍
